Amoun Hotel Alexandria
The Amoun Hotel in Alexandria was built in 1982 by Mohamed El-Gamal. It is a three star hotel, and forms a part of the history of Alexandria. It is located along the southern border of the Pharos Island, along the beautiful coast of the Mediterranean Sea and only two miles from the ancient lighthouse of Pharos.
Room Facilities
Whether you are traveling for business or leisure, with your family or alone you can find a room to suit your needs. The rooms are divided into rooms for businessmen, rooms for smokers and non-smokers. Room sizes vary to accommodate single rooms, double or twin rooms and triple rooms. There are 120 rooms divided on ten floors.
Amenities that you can hope to find in your room include: hairdryer, air-conditioning and heating, mini bar, LCD TVs, and you can expect your room keys to be magnetized. Each room is guaranteed to hold a wide range of modern amenities, with excellent lighting and furnishings.
Every room has its own balcony, as well as hardwood floors. Because of the large windows, each room offers a warm and inviting atmosphere.
Restaurant and Café
The hotel has two restaurants and a café. The restaurant offers a delicious buffet as well as a variety of different meals. Each meal is a culinary delight and is offered at a reasonable price.
The second restaurant offers a variety of eastern food. So if you are having a craving to try something new and exotic, be sure to visit the eastern restaurant.
The Amoun Hotel café overlooks one of the oldest markets in Alexandria, and you can enjoy the famous story of Raya and Sakina, while sitting in an area designed in oriental style offering fast and friendly service.
Location
The Amoun Hotel Alexandria is situated at a less than five minute walk from the El Raml train station, and almost one mile from the Alexandria stadium. The international airport is four miles away.
The Amoun Hotel is also located next to the marine port, and one can easily visit a number of tourist attractions including: an Unknown Soldiers’ tomb, Quait-Bey Citadel, Aquarium Museum, Bibliotheca Alexandria, Greco Roman Museum and the old Alexandria Markets.

The hotel provides a number of facilities. You can expect to find a bar, 24 hour front desk service, newspapers, non-smoking rooms, elevators, safes, baggage storage, air conditioning, buffet style restaurant and a snack bar. You will also find room service, an airport shuttle, laundry services and free Wi-Fi Internet. Private parking is also available at a charge.
All major credit cards are accepted in the hotel; and children under the age of six are allowed to stay free, using the existing bedding available in the rooms, as there is no space for extra bedding. Guests can check in between noon and 11p.m and check out between 7a.m and noon. Pets are not allowed in the hotel.
